I have set an ambitious goal for myself to post every day a picture that was the "greatest moment" of the day!
Here is today's greatest moment (I'll try to not make this my post every day)
Sweet little man at nap time. I don't know why it makes me so proud to see him fall asleep on his own, but it does bring joy to my heart.

Mailmen and ice cream
Since we've moved we've had a bit of a problem with our mail. More specifically, some other Martin's mail gets delivered to us. Despite this fact, Ryan apparently loves mailmen. How do I know? Because we were driving the other day and he said "I love mailmen, they have got to be the most frugal and fit people out there - and UPS guys. They always have really toned and tan calves."
Maybe for my next anniversary I'll dress up like a mail woman :)
We tried a new ice cream place with our friends. Papa Eds. The Horchata ice cream was fabulous. And Isaac has learned to close his eyes in the sun :)

Warm weather walks
I love the warm westher here, and Isaac and I go on daily walks outside. Because of the variety of foul around our apartment complex, I've become somewhat of a bird watching aficionado. It started with common ducks, then Canadian geese, then Coots, and best of all we saw a night heron one evening. Of course there are plenty of doves and Gambel quail, but my most favorite bird is the cormorant. At first, I thought it was just an extremely ugly duck, but it kept diving under the water, Ryan thought I was crazy when I described the "carnivorous duck." Luckily, with some intense google research I was able to identify my periscope-looking bird friend as a Cormorant. Needless to say I have a new favorite bird. Oh yes, and Isaac likes the birds too.

Life's a musical....or at least Isaac's will be!
Isaac really loves little songs and things like that, so we try to find opportunities to sing to him. In light of seeing Les Miserables recently (which I loved!) I realized Isaac's life could be a musical with all the songs we sing to him. His favorite is his goodnight song. Because of the success of that, I've started singing him a good morning song. We also have songs for brushing his teeth (he loves that one - even though he doesn't have any teeth) and peanut butter sandwiches and going to the zoo. When we graduate from all these Raffi songs I hope to incorporate other songs into his life, songs about our family traditions and how to cheer yourself up and of course how to date girls.

November 2012
November - the month of thankfulness! I tried to post things I am grateful for on facebook each day in November. We found that the things we were most grateful for were, the the gospel, the warm weather in Arizona, family, food, and fun! Here are our November highlights (I just realized there are A LOT of pics of Isaac--forgive a this new mom):
We went to Westgate in Glendale and enjoyed the live music and some Coldstone -- we still can't believe we were in shorts on November 1st!!
Isaac and Ryan and I enjoyed the zoo (maybe Ryan and I enjoyed it a bit more than Isaac)
Isaac enjoyed his first plane ride during Thanksgiving break!
Isaac got to meet his Uncle James & Aunt Chelsey!

October 2012
Well I mushed some October events into last month, but I do want to dedicate a short post to Isaac's first Halloween (a.k.a. the most effort I've ever put into family costumes) The whole idea came about because I wanted Isaac to be a little lion and my amazing mother-in-law helped me hot glue tons of yarn to a Winnie-the-Pooh suit, then I sewed on a belly and I had to make a drawstring on the hood because it was too big...but it turned out great! So we were a few members of the Wizard of Oz gang.
